June 12th, 2009 - SUMMER BREEZE
Back from Europe and almost fully recovered! :-). I have a bunch of exciting jazz events coming up this month in Ottawa including a duo gig with guitarist Garry Elliot @ Vineyards on June 23rd, a workshop on "new standards" in participation with the Ottawa Jazz Festival on June 26th, and a continuation of typical Monday night debauchery with the SearchEngine crew at Le Petit Chicago.
PeopleProject has also hit the ground running in preparation for the release of their second CD, "Natural" and have invited me to play with them at the Montreal Jazz Festival, Ottawa Jazz Festival, and most notably their CD Release at Mercury Lounge in July. I had a great time in the studio with Gabriel, Phillippe & Steve for a couple of tracks on this release, and I'm very thankful to all of them for inviting me along for the musical celebration! please visit myspace.com/peopleproject for a fix of world folk vibrations!!!
